Fractional Skin Resurfacing

Fractional laser treatments use a wavelength of 1540 nm. One common brand of this laser is Fraxel®. These types of treatments use microscopic beams of laser to “drill down” into the dermis in a precise pattern. The healing from these treatments stimulate new collagen and tightening of the skin. There is little or no downtime but you may experience some temporary redness and swelling after the treatment. Fractional skin resurfacing is appropriate for fine lines around the eyes or irregular pigmentation or brown spots. To achieve the best results, usually a few treatments are required. This type of treatment is appropriate for all skin types.
